Travis N. Jensen
Travis was born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana. In 1995, he received his Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington in 1998. As managing editor of the Indiana Law Journal, he published a note regarding innocent third parties killed or seriously injured as a result of high-speed police chases.
After his first year of law school, Travis clerked for the prominent Lafayette personal injury law firm, Vaughan & Vaughan, where he began to learn about the personal reward and fulfillment that comes from helping individuals and families recover from tragedy. Travis then clerked for the international law firm Winston & Strawn in their New York office located in Midtown Manhattan. Soon after, he accepted an offer to join the firm upon graduation, and was admitted to the New York bar in 1999.
During his practice with Winston & Strawn, Travis represented clients such as Philip Morris and was resident in both the firm’s New York and Washington, D.C. offices. In 2000, Travis returned to Indiana, joining the litigation department of the largest law firm in Indiana, Barnes & Thornburg.
That same year, he was admitted to the Indiana bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. In 2001, Travis joined Tabor Law Firm, where he began focusing exclusively on representing individuals and families who have been seriously injured or lost loved ones due to the carelessness and negligence of others.
In 2011, Travis made the decision to team up with Bob Johnson to form their own firm, Johnson Jensen, LLP. With greater independence and a more concentrated focus, Travis and Bob are more committed than ever to helping others overcome tragedy.
Travis is a 2005 graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) Trial Advocacy program and a 2012 graduate of the ABOTA National Trial College at Harvard Law School.
Travis resides in Fishers with his wife and two daughters. When he is not working, Travis enjoys playing in a band, writing and recording music, traveling, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.
